From the Schuylkill Expressway:
Exit at Green Lane/Belmont.
From westbound Schuylkill, turn right at bottom of ramp. From eastbound, turn left.
Cross bridge over Schuylkill River to Manayunk.
You can take Green Lane up the hill to Ridge Road, turn left, and go all the way to Manor Rd. on Ridge, but it is slow and congested. I suggest:
Cross bridge on Green Lane across river.
First intersection is Main St. Turn left.
Main St. ends in a couple blocks at Leverington Ave. Turn right.
Just under railway underpass is Umbridge St.. Turn left (only way you can turn).
Take Umbridge through narrow rowhouse areas into a wider, more open, commercial area. Continue until it makes a sweep to the right, goes downhill and joins another road, Shawmont Avenue. Continue on Shawmont.
Go up hill to a traffic light at the top of a hill: Ridge Rd. Turn left.
Follow Ridge Road. Keep in left lane when it divides so you can stay on Ridge at Henry Ave.
Area becomes much less congested. Manor Road will be on the left just this side of Eagle Lodge Golf Course. Turn left. Ignore signs about road being closed.
You will go past several large homes and subdivisions. Shelly Ridge will be on the left. Go slow. The sign is not prominent nor lighted, so it is easy to mistake it for another subdivision entrance.
There is a parking lot across from the main building. The scout shop is inside the main building, just on your left as you enter.
